AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • do not rub, pick, or pull your lashes

  • do not sleep on your face - pro tip - use a silk pillowcase

  • do not expose your lashes to heat or steam

  • do not use any oils or glycols on or around your eye area - cosmedix makes excellent lash freindly skincare products you can pick up at RLC

  • do not put mascara on your lashes

  • keep your lashes clean using cleanser and a cleansing brush; clean your lashes at least 2-3x/ week, or every time you workout and/or wear makeup.

  • remember that it is totally normal to lose 2-5 natural lashes per day

  • gently brush your lashes daily / as needed

  • prebook your fills every 2-4 weeks. remember that fills are booked by time - book more time if needed - if we don't have enough time to get your lashes back to 90-100% full, you may not have as great of retention going forward

HOW TO CLEANSE YOUR LASHES

Cleanse your lashes every time you wear makeup, sweat, or at least 3x per week.

Eyelashes are there to catch anything that may fall into our eyes - when we have extensions on, they are even thicker and better at catching things, so it is extra important to keep them clean.

Keeping lashes clean will prevent lash mites and build up, as well as improve overall lash retention!

BOOKING THE CORRECT FILLS

  • Mini fills are 30-45 minute fills to give extra lashes between fills for vacations or events, must be booked within 10 days of a regular fill, and are not available to be booked online. This is not available for hybrid - if you have hybrid and want a mini fill, choose volume for a more full look and classic for more natural.

  • Regular fills are normal maintenance fills to be booked every 2-4 weeks. At a regular fill, there should be 40% of the extensions remaining.

  • Extra long fills are between 90-120m and are to be booked if you want extra lashes for a photoshoot or event, or if you have waited more than 4 weeks since your last fill. This service is great for playing catch up if you had to miss a fill or had excess shedding. You will have better retention in the long run if your lash artist has time to get your lashes 100% full at your fill.

  • Salon Transfer Fills are between 75-105m, and are to be booked if you are new to Remedy but not new to lashes! During this fill we will assess your lashes, assess your lash goals, remove any grown out, sticky, or damaging lashes, and fill your lashes as full as we can. This is not a guarantee that you will not need a new full set if your lashes are causing severe damage, but in the majority of cases, we are able to easily transition clients into their gorgeous new Remedy lashes!

  • Book a full set if you don’t have any lashes, or if you can count the lashes that are remaining (if you have less than 20% of your extensions, you need to book a full set).

 client tip

At the end of your full set, your natural lashes should be 90-100% lashed. Booking the correct fill appointment ensures that we have time to restore your lashes to that level of fullness, giving you the best possible retention and keeping your lashes looking great all of the time - if we don’t have enough time to fill you back to 100%, you may experience poor retention, and we will suggest extending your fill length that day, or booking another fill much sooner.

NOTES ABOUT LASH RETENTION & fills

These photos are all examples of good retention. These clients all came in for regular fills at abut 2-3 weeks. Sometimes, when it’s time for your fill, you might think your lashes look great, and you might want to push your fill out another week. We strongly recommend against doing that. First, isn’t the point for your lashes to always look great? And second, there’s a lot going on in fills that is really important, and when clients come with the appropriate amount of lashes, it really helps us. For example, a lot of clients don’t realized that during fills, we go in and remove all grown out extensions and replace them with fresh ones, so that clients don’t experience drooping, twisting, crazy lashes as the extensions grow.
